As the landscape of climate science evolves, new forms of scientific disinformation continue to emerge. Just this week, President Trump propagated one of the latest misleading claims: that the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) declared the world does not face a climate catastrophe, and that acknowledging the projected levels of global heating might lead to biodiversity loss is simply 'alarmism.'
“After 15 years of Dumocrats promising that ‘Climate Change’ is going to destroy the Planet, the United Nations TOP Climate Committee just admitted that its own projections (RCP8.5) were WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!” Trump wrote, quite inaccurately, on Truth Social. “Unlike the Dumocrats, who use Climate Alarmism nonsense to push their Green New Scam, my Administration will always prioritize TRUTH, SCIENCE, and FACT for climate action towards a sustainable future!”
